Remember What We Are Fighting For?

We must fight this war! Why? Because he is a dictator, there are rape rooms, there is torture. there are mass graves, there is mass killing of innocent civilians, and no one is held accountable. There are not free and fair elections. They have weapons of mass destruction and they will use them. He either knew about and let the terrorist attack America or has used it to his benefit. The people are not allowed to practice their brand of religion or be free from religion.
What country are we talking about?
In 2001 this is what Mr. Bush and his Cabal was saying about Iraq. Now Iraq and the world is saying the same thing about America. Good job, Mr. Bush and thanks. more…

Salon.com Tells Me What Fools We Are

This is why I do not belong to Salon.com. They always tell you that you are an idiot to believe that there was something wrong with the Presidential elections in 2000 and 2004. Shouldn’t we all want to know the truth? How are we to find out the truth, if we don’t question? If we don’t research all available accounts? Isn’t our Republic, our Democracy worth the questions and answers? Their latest is the review of the Rolling Stone’s article by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Are they the mouth piece for Mr. Bush and his Administration? Why don’t they want us to look at the elections? Why are questions bad? Why is it a bad thing to have a new voice asking those questions? more…

Sex Education Politics

Harvard University released the results of a comprehensive study on abstinence pledges. The National Institute of Child Health and Development conducted the government-sponsored study. Over 14,000 teenagers were interviewed between 1995 and 2001. The study found that 52 percent who took the pledge had sex within one year of doing so.

When will these Religious nuts realize that knowledge and science will always prove that it is the only way to teach our children about what they need to know, to live their lives and to be productive Americans?
These Republican Right-wing non-thinkers still believe in tales and wishful thinking. The saddest part of this, is the children who are left with all of their feelings and normal urges without the knowledge of what it is and how to make sound choices for themselves. Why do we have driver’s education classes, but not sex education classes?

The research shows that we would all be safer on the roads, if people were not allowed to drive until they were over 26 years old. Why not a “Worth the Wait to Drive” program? It would save many lives, it would save much money on insurance paid by the families of teenagers. But, we know that this is impossible to enforce. Children need to go places and the way that most American’s get somewhere is to drive.

Here We Go Again. Hate and Fear Is All They Have.

President Bush will promote a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage on Monday, the eve of a scheduled Senate vote on the cause that is dear to his conservative backers. The amendment would prohibit states from recognizing same-sex marriages.
The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the amendment on May 18 along party lines after a shouting match between a Democrat and the chairman, Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa. He bid Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., “good riddance” after Feingold declared his opposition to the amendment and his intention to leave the meeting.
They have had five years to do something about this issue, but they have done nothing. Because they know they can not get it passed. To become law, the proposal would need two-thirds support in the Senate and House, and then be ratified by at least 38 state legislatures.
But now that they are losing the American people on all the other issues, they pull out this tired old hate filled religious bigotry to rally those right wing, neo conservative, Bible thumping idiots to try to win one more election based on hate. Fear doesn’t work anymore, so they will go for hate!

Don’t we have an anti hate law? What other group of American’s could you preach about with so much hate and get away with it? What other group of American’s can you write an Amendment to our Constitution which is all about the Rights of the people, which takes away some American’s Rights? Not in my America!

This has already been answered in one court case. Just substitute the word gender for race.

The freedom to marry has long been recognized as one of the vital personal rights essential to the orderly pursuit of happiness by free men. Under our Constitution, the freedom to marry, or not marry, a person of another race resides with the individual and cannot be infringed by the State.
    Loving v. Virginia Supreme Court

Please read my article on why this is so unAmerican and just plain wrong.

I have been unable to do any writing these past two weeks, as my generator decided it was time for a rest. Thank you to those who have continued to visit and for those who wrote me to see what was happening. I will be here tomorrow with the newest from me.

Property, Gas, Local, Sales, Federal. Which Taxes Don’t You Pay?

In a debate over extending tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations,
during a late session last night, Speaker Dennis Hastert (R-IL) made a stunning claim on the House floor, trying to justify the rip-off of the middle class and poor with these words: “Well, folks, if you earn $40,000 a year and have a family of two children, you don’t pay any taxes. So you probably, if you don’t pay any taxes, you are not going to get a very big tax cut”.

It’s a sad fact, that our Representatives don’t know what life costs us in taxes each day. more…

First Step In The Military Takeover?

I took time off for a long Mother’s Day Weekend. No interent, no writing. Just enjoying time with my children and husband.
Now, back to work.

Am I just paranoid, or was this the plan all along?

The law signed by President Bush less than two months ago to add thousands of border patrol agents along the U.S.-Mexico border has crashed into the reality of Bush’s austere federal budget proposal, officials said Tuesday.
Officially approved by Bush on Dec. 17 after extensive bickering in Congress, the National Intelligence Reform Act included the requirement to add 10,000 border patrol agents in the five years beginning with 2006. Roughly 80 percent of the agents were to patrol the southern U.S. border from Texas to California, along which thousands of people cross into the United States illegally every year.
But Bush’s proposed 2006 budget, revealed Monday, funds only 210 new border agents. The shrunken increase reflects the lack of money for an army of border guards and the capacity to train them, officials said.
The law signed by Bush had a caveat that went virtually unreported at the time. A summary, published by the Senate Government Affairs Committee, required the government to increase the number of border patrol agents by at least 2,000 per year, “subject to available appropriations.” {Source}

Selling Fear Again and Breaking The Laws Again

Shouldn’t the first question we have, is the violating of our Rights by spying on our phone calls making us safer? Mr. Bush says that they have had to do this, to keep us safe and the polls have asked the question phrased in a way that it is either we spy on Americans or the terrorist win. Which do you want? Well, if you scare people enough, they usually will do almost anything to stay alive.

All you have to do is look at what people will do when in a violent situation. People will even kill others to stay alive for another moment. When told to kill him or be killed, many will take the gun and kill the other person. If in a camp, many will steal the food, clothes or blankets from the weaker, to stay alive. This is what Mr. Bush and this Cabal is counting on. If enough fear is sold to Americans, they will approve of most Rights being denied them. more…

We Are Screwed, Again!

I was beginning to feel hopeful for America. The people seem to be waking up and they now see that the Emperor has no clothes. Mr. Bush is at 69% disapproval in the polls. The poll numbers show that the Republicans will lose many seats this November and their majority at least in the House. Maybe in the Senate. Good news for America.
The American people are saying that they do not trust members of Congress, do not like where the country is going and they want it to stop. I expected that the Republicans would see the writing on the wall and change what they have been doing for the past five years. If my boss doesn’t approve of what I am doing on the job, I change or the boss fires me.
So why do the Republicans think their jobs are safe? That they can keep on screwing America? more…

It’s Worse Than You Think. Much Worse!

The National Security Agency has been secretly collecting the phone call records of tens of millions of Americans, using data provided by AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth, people with direct knowledge of the arrangement told USA TODAY.
“It’s the largest database ever assembled in the world,” said one person, who, like the others who agreed to talk about the NSA’s activities, declined to be identified by name or affiliation. The agency’s goal is “to create a database of every call ever made” within the nation’s borders.
For the customers of these companies, it means that the government has detailed records of calls they made — across town or across the country — to family members, co-workers, business contacts and others.
The three telecommunications companies are working under contract with the NSA, which launched the program in 2001 shortly after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the sources said. {Source}

Contract? Sounds like these Corporations are making money selling our privacy to the Government. Don’t they already screw us enough with the money they charge each month? The Rights of the American people be damned! It’s all about the money. more…

Strange Bedfellows

Rupert Murdoch, the conservative media mogul whose New York Post tabloid savaged Hillary Clinton’s initial aspirations to become a US senator for New York, has agreed to host a political fund raiser for her reelection campaign.
Why would the man who owns Fox News and not only hounded President Clinton, but did everything he could do to get Mr. Bush into the White House, now throw a fund raiser for his arch enemy?
He is not a stupid man. He sees the writing on the wall and is making nice with the liberals. Too bad that the liberals don’t tell him to take his money, his influence and stuff it!
Mr. Murdoch is personally responsible for Mr. Bush and this Administrations crimes. He used his media outlets to put Mr. Bush where he is and he has used it to be one of the most unAmerican propagandists for Mr. Bush and his Cabal. Mr. Murdoch never saw a problem with anything which this Administration has done or said. But now, he wants to play in our pond. Tell him that he has soiled his own pool and we won’t let him into ours.
One media lobbyist said: “Murdoch will be for the Republicans but he is also smart enough to know that the Republicans might not win. At some level, whether nationally or in New York, Hillary is the future and what savvy businessman would not want to put a line of interest in someone who will be the future?”
This just shows why I will not support Hillary Clinton for President. She will not stand up for Democratic core issues. She has rolled over before and played the Republican’s game, trying to appease all. I want someone who stands on principals. We have seen what happens when you flip-flop on issues. Someone who has core beliefs and will fight for those. What we need is someone who knows the difference between right and wrong. You can not play with the Republicans. They don’t play fair. You will only get dirty.
