I’ll Take That Job!

Senator John McCain offered anybody in the crowd $50.00 an hour to pick lettuce in Arizona.

The Republican Elitists, arrogant, anti-worker pushers of the “jobs Americans won’t do” lie, has now been challenged by many who accepted Mr. McCain’s offer. I also accept his offer. I would do any honest job in America for $50.00 an hour. No job is too hard, too lowly, too dirty, too embarrassing for me to do. I know that most American’s feel the same. We are a hard working people. How else did we form this great country? On hard work! Yes, there has always been those people who can’t stoop so low as to work in a field, the rich, the Senator’s and Congressmen, but most American’s do not care for their job title. Work is work! Good pay is good pay!
There will always be those who can not work. Either from physical disability or mental disability. Very few American’s fall into those categories. Pay American’s a decent wage, and we will be better able to care for these people, also.

Sen. John McCain outlined his position on the Senate immigration debate, saying tougher border enforcement must be accompanied by guest-worker provisions that give illegal immigrants a legal path toward citizenship.
Murmurs from the crowd turned to booing.

“Pay a decent wage!” one audience member shouted.
“I’ve heard that statement before,” McCain said before threatening to leave.
But he took more questions, including a pointed one on his immigration plan. McCain responded by saying immigrants were taking jobs nobody else wanted. He offered anybody in the crowd $50 an hour to pick lettuce in Arizona.
Shouts of protest rose from the crowd, with some accepting McCain’s job offer. “I’ll take it!” one man shouted.
McCain insisted none of them would do such menial labor for a complete season. “You can’t do it, my friends.”

By your statement, Mr. McCain, you showed that you are not our friend. You don’t know Americans. You don’t trust Americans. You don’t believe in Americans.
You want us to go back to the day of slavery. Just a different color, from a different country. Paying $2.00 an hour is great for Corporations, but it does not help the hard workers in this country. $5.15 an hour is not a fair wage. Those who have to work for that wage, find that both parents have to work. Many more than one job.
You and your fellow un-American types, are breaking the middle class in this country. This country can not remain a great nation, without the middle class. I know, we are the ones with the true power in this country and so your thinking is ‘Let’s get rid of them’. But no country has lasted long with just the “ruling, rich class” and the “slaves”. You need us! You need the middle class to buy your products. Unless you start paying us a decent wage, we will not be able to afford your products.

Some in the crowd said they didn’t appreciate Mr. McCain questioning their work ethic. Mr. McCain was not questioning their work ethic, he was stating his belief in the Republican goals for America. He knows we are hard workers, but the Republicans need to break the middle class, they need to get richer and more powerful and they can not do that for much longer. Unless they break us and bring in the slaves.

Without out sourcing to other countries, all the work they can. Without paying workers less, and many having to accept it or have their jobs taken by someone who will work for $2.00 per hour, they can not get the world they want. It is not just a class war they are waging. They are making it a race war. It is not about the races. It is about fear. How will American’s provide for their families, pay their mortgages, send their children to school, if others are taking their jobs?
We know what fear will do to man. It is what they sell to us every day. Without fear, they can not pass their agenda.

There is a way to settle this illegal immigration. It is simple. A huge fine and jail (twenty years) for any employer who hires an illegal immigrant. Before you can be hired, you must show either a Birth Certificate from one of the fifty states, or the U. S. document, which shows that you have been granted Citizenship. What about forgery’s? We have pens which can tell if a hundred dollar bill is fake, why can’t their be one for official documents?
That would stop the immigrants from coming. It would also send most illegal immigrants back to their own countries. Without a job, it is very hard to live in America. It is just too expensive. Their own governments would have to fix their country’s employment problems or be replaced by someone who could.

We do not need foreign quest workers on this vast scale. 30 million illegal’s (from all over the world, not just Mexico), is not acceptable.
I have to obey the laws of America. We put in prison people who are using illegal drugs for 30 years. Why is this crime not punished? Because those in power, the big Corporations and little Companies make money from this. They do not care about the average American. Either those born here or those who immigrated legally. All they care about is their bottom line.
We are a country of immigrants. We are a better society because of that fact. But, we must first provide good wages for our people. When we have full, well paid employment for all Americans, then we can revisit the subject of letting in more people from other countries.
So, yes Mr. McCain, I accept your job offer of picking lettuce in Arizona for $50.00 an hour. You better have many acres, as I think you will be overwhelmed by how many Americans join me.
