Did They Lie To The Federal Prosecutor?

They almost won. There are so many facts and lies out there on so many subjects, that we all forgot the most important fact. While writing on Friday, on the story of Mr. Bush being the leaker, I was researching online. I came across a fact, which I had forgotten to see the importance of as it related to this. This is how Mr. Bush gets away with all of his lies. He overloads us with them. He does not seem to have a problem remembering all his lies, probably because he repeats them so often that he no longer knows they are lies.

By Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney withholding material information from the grand jury, they committed several felonies: abuse of legal process, fraud, racketeering and obstruction of justice. The RICO Act comes into play.

President Bush declassified sensitive intelligence in 2003 and authorized its public disclosure to rebut Iraq war critics, but he did not specifically direct that Vice President Dick Cheney’s former chief of staff, I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, be the one to disseminate the information, an attorney knowledgeable about the case said Saturday.
Bush merely instructed Cheney to “get it out” and left the details to him, said the lawyer, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case for the White House. The vice president chose Libby and communicated the president’s wishes to his then-top aide, the lawyer said. {Source}

I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby testified to a federal grand jury that he had received “approval from the President through the Vice President” to divulge portions of a National Intelligence Estimate regarding Saddam Hussein’s purported efforts to develop nuclear weapons, according to the court papers. Libby was said to have testified that such presidential authorization to disclose classified information was “unique in his recollection,” the court papers further said.
Libby also testified that an administration lawyer told him that Bush, by authorizing the disclosure of classified information, had in effect declassified the information. Legal experts disagree on whether the president has the authority to declassify information on his own. {Source}

It is a crime to lie to a Federal Prosecutor. Even if you are not under oath. Remember that one. It is important. Now, if the FBI, Police or a Federal Prosecutor comes to your door and asks you questions, or if you are called into their offices, you have the right not to answer those questions. But, if you do answer them, you must tell the truth. Even though you are not under oath, if you lie to them, you will be charged with a felony.

Does this have anything to do with releasing Valerie Plame Wilson’s name? Yes. Did Mr. Bush say to Mr. Cheney, ‘Doesn’t Mr. Wilson’s wife work for the CIA? Well, release her name and what she does. That will put the fear into Mr. Wilson and everyone else’? We don’t know. But we do know that they wanted to discredit Mr. Wilson and if that was not enough, then do anything to make his report go away. Does Mr. Bush authorize the torture of every prisoner by name? No. But the legal authority to do so has been issued. The climate of allowing, even condoning torture is supported by Mr. Bush. He went so far as to sign a “Signing Statement”, authorizing our people to torture, if he gave them permission to do so, after he signed the anti-torture law.
The climate was right to do whatever it took to destroy Mr. Wilson, and his damn report. What better way than to lie about who sent him over, was it the CIA bosses, Cheney or Mr. Wilson’s wife? By outing Mr. Wilson’s wife, you killed two birds with one stone. You got Mr. Wilson’s report to be questioned (I’m not sure what difference it makes as far as the truthfulness of his report goes, on who sent him over) and you put the fear into every other person in a position who could show documentary proof of Mr. Bush’s lies, to keep them quiet. As usual with this Bush Cabal, it is kill the messenger, then the message goes away. To those people in power, the Truth is the most dangerous message in the world. ask King or ask Gandhi. Ask Jesus. The Roman’s and some of the Jew’s in power, decided it was time to kill the messenger, before the message gets out. Problem is, the truth is harder to kill, than the messenger.

Here is the history that we almost forgot: Thursday: June 24, 2004: Federal prosecutors interviewed George Bush today at the Oval office concerning the leak of CIA Agent Valerie Plame’s identity, which is the subject of a grand jury investigation. The questioning lasted 70 minutes and was done by chief prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. Bush’s personal lawyer, Jim Sharp, whom he retained for the occasion, was present. As was Mr. Cheney, since they refused to be interviewed separately. Both Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney refused to be sworn in, have any transcripts of their interview taken or any record of any sort allowed.

Why would you need this kind of cover, if you were innocent? Why would the Investigators agree to this? Because Mr. Fitzgerald knew the law. You do not have to be under oath to be compelled to tell the truth. At this interview, would you not expect the questions to be put to either of these men to be, “Do you know who leaked this”? “Did either one of you authorize this leak”? Pretty simple questions. And from the record of Mr. Patrick Fitzgerald, you know he asked not only the simple questions, he would also ask the tough questions.

Mr. Fitzgerald’s Legal Philosophy:

In his first press conference after announcing Libby’s indictment, Fitzgerald was asked about comments by Republicans such as Kay Bailey Hutchison, who said “I certainly hope that if there is going to be an indictment that says something happened, that it is an indictment on a crime and not some perjury technicality…” Fitzgerald responded, “That talking point won’t fly… The truth is the engine of our judicial system. If you compromise the truth, the whole process is lost … if we were to walk away from this, we might as well hand in our jobs.” {Source}

It would take about five of those seventy minutes, for Mr. Fitzgerald to ask Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney the questions and get the answers. If the truth had been told by either of these men, the investigation would have been over! America and the world would have known the truth.
Since the investigation has continued, either those important questions were never asked, or both Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney lied to the Federal Prosecutors.Which of these two do you think happened?
This is High Crimes and Misdemeanors. By Mr. Bush admitting that he is the one who authorized this “leak” but failing to be truthful to the Federal Prosecutors, he has admitted his quilt. How many laws can this man break without answering for them? He acts like a Dictator, an Emperor, another King George. Remember his words. He said this not just once as a joke, but at least three times, in different years, under different circumstances:

“You don’t get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier.”

“I told all four that there are going to be some times where we don’t agree with each other, but that’s OK. If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I’m the dictator”.

~George W. Bush~

“A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there’s no question about it”

~George W. Bush~
Associated Press, 7/27/2001

He told us what he was going to become. For once he was not lying.
This is the issue! Do not be suckered into any other bullshit on this issue. Either the Federal Prosecutors did not ask the right questions, which is very doubtful or Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney committed a crime! Yes, it is a crime for these men to lie to a Federal Prosecutors, the FBI or Congress. It should be a crime to lie to the American People!

You can fool some of the people all of the time, and those are the ones you have to focus on

~George W. Bush~

The Prosecutor in the Moussaoui case said: “Moussaoui killed by lying and deserves the death penalty”. Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney lied to us, taking us into an unjust war, where thousands have been killed. They, at least, deserve impeachment. They and their whole Administration need to be told “You’re Out Of Here”! and “Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out”!
