It Is a Sin to Lie
When you have an Administration so versed in lying about everything, even though they claim to be Christians, maybe it is time to change that sin.
According to the Bible, Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden, because Eve believed and acted on the snake’s lie. That was quite the punishment for believing a lie. It kicked them out of their home, a place of beauty with perfect weather all the time and all your wants taken care of, living without fear, with all the animals. Walking and talking with God in the flesh.
Adam did not believe the snake’s lies. But both Adam and Eve were kicked out. Eve for believing the lie and disobey God’s laws and Adam for going along with it, even knowing that it was all a lie. If it is a sin to lie, isn’t it just as much of a sin to believe a liar?
And how come God hasn’t added any new rules to the Ten Commandments in all this time? You would think with all the Christians praying for a Constitutional Amendment to a ban on Gay marriage, that God would add that one to it. Just to really make it plain that this is the greatest sin on earth. Instead of being one abomination in a long list of abominations. Most Christians break many of the other abominations without a second thought. “A sliver in the other’s eye, not seeing the timber in your own” mentality.
Yes, I think it is high time that God pays a visit to this world. Reissue the Ten Commandments (wonder how many there would be now) with all those new rules that the Christians are screaming for. Then maybe we could see our way to having them in our public places. And to truly obeying all of them. Even Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, Mr. Rumsfeld and all of this Administration, might obey those laws. Oh not really, they break the Ten now.
Unlike Mr. Bush, Christians shall not pick and choose which of God’s Laws you will obey. Which ones you think are the worst. According to God, all of these are abominations unto Him. Are you following each and every one of these? Really?
I will give you a few here. Go to the Bible and read Leviticus. All of Leviticus. And then tell me which of these we should mess with our Constitution over.
God said, “When an alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself”.
Constitutional Amendment for wearing mixed fiber clothing? For eating fat? For eating The hare, The pig, or anything in the seas or the streams that does not have fins and scales, of the swarming creatures in the waters and among all the other living creatures that are in the waters — they are detestable to you. These you shall regard as detestable among the birds. They shall not be eaten; they are an abomination. The eagle, the vulture, the osprey, the buzzard, the kite of any kind; every raven of any kind; the ostrich, the nighthawk, the sea gull, the hawk of any kind; 17 the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl, the water hen, the desert owl, the carrion vulture, the stork, the heron of any kind, the hoopoe, and the bat. All winged insects that walk upon all fours are detestable to you. But among the winged insects that walk on all fours you may eat those that have jointed legs above their feet, with which to leap on the ground. Of them you may eat: the locust according to its kind, the bald locust according to its kind, the cricket according to its kind, and the grasshopper according to its kind. But all other winged insects that have four feet are detestable to you. These are unclean for you among the creatures that swarm upon the earth: the weasel, the mouse, the great lizard according to its kind, the gecko, the land crocodile, the lizard, the sand lizard, and the chameleon. These are unclean for you among all that swarm; whoever touches one of them when they are dead shall be unclean until the evening. All creatures that swarm upon the earth are detestable; they shall not be eaten. Whatever moves on its belly, and whatever moves on all fours, or whatever has many feet, all the creatures that swarm upon the earth, you shall not eat; for they are detestable. You shall not make yourselves detestable with any creature that swarms; you shall not defile yourselves with them, and so become unclean. And you shall keep my sabbaths. (Not just one day of the week. God had many special days which He called Sabbaths). You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; and you shall not lie to one another. You shall not defraud your neighbor; you shall not steal; and you shall not keep for yourself the wages of a laborer until morning. 14 You shall not revile the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind; When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap to the very edges of your field, or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10 You shall not strip your vineyard bare, or gather the fallen grapes of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the alien: You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your animals breed with a different kind; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed; nor shall you put on a garment made of two different materials You shall rise before the aged, and defer to the old; and you shall fear your God:
