Believe What This Administration Tells You Is True

These last few weeks, we have heard almost in perfect unison from the Republican right, that the Constitution does not say anything about “probable cause”.

What they are doing, is parsing words, misleading and lying to the American people (it is not in the Constitution, but in the Amendment to the Constitution and we know that an amendment to a legal document is part of that legal document), to cover Mr. Bush, Mr. Cheney, Mr. Rumsfield and all the other members of this Bush Cabal, for their breaking of not only the FISA LAW, but also Our Constitution, violating their Oath of Office.

When the Republican’s lie, they just say it over and over and over, until most people believe what they say is the truth.

Mr. Bush says it best:,

” ……….in my line of work you gotta keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kinda catapult the propaganda”.

The problem that they have is the fact that the original States would not ratify the Constitution as it was written, until and unless the Bill of Rights and the original Amendments were added to it. So the Constitution does not stand alone, it is one of a group of documents which along with the others was ratified. When we speak of the Constitution, we are speaking of the whole legal agreement which was approved, ratified and became our contract between the People of these United States and the Government of these United States.

Many republican right wing radicals believe in and are doing everything to bring our country to this un-American 18th century Royalty system of government, to be ruled under what they call “Strict Constitutionism”. This is not what our Founding Father’s fought for, nor what they wrote in these documents and the States ratified and made the Law of America.

You can not pick and choose what part of the law you will abide by, like you can not pick out what part of the Bible you will abide by, although that is precisely what most do.

The Constitution needed provisions in it which stopped Kings and Dictators from ruling over other human beings. We do have human rights which no government may take away. The States demanded that these be enumerated and they were specific to these rights. Also, that as we grew as a country and we could see the need for other rights to be specifically spelled out, that amendments could be added.

These straight Constitutionist are working to take us back to the time when there was slavery in America, when Women were property of their father’s or husband’s, when only property owners could vote, when all others were servants of the powerful. When these same powerful “royalty” could rob and steal, destroy our land, air and water. When they were the ones who decided how much a person was paid for their labor, fairness or living wage be damned. When child labor was wonderful. When you could work the little people for 16 hours a day, with slave wages and no health care and there was always someone to take over for those who were worn out. Sweat shops and living in slums for most of the American people. No safety in our food, water or air. No safety net for those less fortunate, and there were too many of them, (since there was not too many in the middle class) thanks to these Robber Baron’s.

It was amazing to me, that in talking about ‘probable cause’ being in the Constitution, with some very smart people they stated that “No, it was not in it”. When I pointed out that it was in the 4th Amendment, they all stated that “No, it was not”! They had heard that it was not, over and over by scholarly people and talking heads and Republican mouths. And they now knew the truth. All these years they had believed wrongly. Thankfully, they had been shown the error of their thinking and belief and they now went out into the world with the truth.

Funny, I wondered if I was believing in a Myth…….so I looked it up, even though I knew what the truth was.

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Yes people, if a lie is stated over and over enough times, even people with thinking brains will question what the truth is. This is how the Republicans can fool a majority of the people, all of the time!

Don’t believe what you know is the truth! Don’t believe what you have seen with your own eyes! Don’t believe what you have heard with your own ears.

We will think for you, we will tell you what the truth is! Don’t use your brain!

Ah, “1984″ is a little late, but it is here!

Read the Bill of Rights, Read the Amendments and then start Reading the Constitution. Know the truth so that the next time your friends are wrong, you will know the facts! Ignorance is no excuse!
